Following the sold out run of its debut production Fanny and Stella, the brand new Garden Theatre in London has announced details about its next show... and it's a good one.

Stephen Schwartz's hit Pippin will play a limited run at the outdoor venue in Kennington from Tuesday 8th to Sunday 20th September.

The show will feature six cast members. Ryan Anderson as Pippin, Tsemaye Bob-Egbe as Leading Player, Tanisha-Mae Brown as Catherine, Joanne Clifton as Fastrada/Bertha, Harry Francis as Lewis/Theo and Dan Krikler as Charles.

The show features direction from Steven Dexter who said "Pippin originally opened on Broadway in October 1972, however Stephen Schwartz started writing an early version of the show while at university in 1967. Flower power was at its peak, war was raging in Vietnam and Hair opened on Broadway. It was the year of the summer of love. My take on the show is told by a group of hippie travellers". The new approach has been approved by Schwartz.

This looks like a must see. Tickets are on sale now from https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/whats-on?q=pippin
