Les Miserables Concert To Return To West End

In a massive announcement tonight, it was revealed that the staged concert of Les Miserables will be returning to the West End.


The concert will run at the Sondheim Theatre for 6 weeks starting on December 5th and running until January 17th 2021. Many of the cast from the 2019 concert are set to return including Michael Ball, Alfie Boe, Carrie Hope Fletcher, Shan Ako, Rob Houchen, Matt Lucas and Bradley Jaden returning for the run.



Cameron Mackintosh has revealed the show will be more spectacular than it was in the Gielgud. He said "The beautiful new Sondheim theatre will re-open its doors so audiences can once again leap to their feet thrilled by Victor Hugo's timelessly uplifting story of the survival of the human spirit told through Boubil and Schonberg amazing iconic score - Let the people sing: Happy Christmas to us all"


Covid safety measures and social distancing will be in place front of house, on stage and backstage.

After the performance, Mackintosh issued a message to the government saying theatre needs help and he wants West End theatres to be able to re-open by next Spring.
