Even a global pandemic can't stop the incredible &Juliet, which took everyone by surprise when it opened in Manchester last year ahead of a highly successful West end run.
While the show is currently closed, alongside all other theatres, it shows no signs of going anywhere as they have announced the show has been extended to July 24th 2021.
Most people surely thought a show about what would happen if Juliet hadn't killed herself at the end of Romeo & Juliet set to the tunes of Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys amongst others was a recipe for disaster. Boy, weren't we all proved wrong?
A week after previews in Manchester, the comments I was seeing on Twitter about the show were astounding me so I had a rare venture out of London to see for myself. This show completely blew me away. Complete with star turns from Miriam Teak-Lee, Cassidy Janson, Oliver Tompsett and Jordan Luke Gage among others, this is one of the best things you can see in the West end.
&Juliet won't fail to put a smile on your face, no matter how cold your heart is. This is the kind of feelgood show everybody needs more than ever when theatres reopen, so knowing it is going to be around for at least another year is very much welcome.
Fresh from her scene stealing performance as Anne Hathaway (not that one), Cassidy Janson will be embarking on a tour later this year.
If you weren't lucky enough to witness Cassidy as Carole King in 'Beautiful', hearing her take on those classic songs as well as other iconic artists is bound to be a great night.
