Bridge Theatre To Reopen This Month

The Bridge Theatre has unveiled plans to reopen at the end of the month with a series of plays and monologues. The theatre is one of Londons newest, opening in 2017. For its new season, the audience will be reduced drastically to cope with social distancing - going from a capacity of 900 people to 250.

The theatre plans to reopen on August 29th and has released titles of the shows it will be putting on until the end of October. This is on the assumption that indoor performances will be allowed to take place from August 15th after Boris delayed the planned reopening from its initial date of August 1st. Any further delays or cancellations will result in automatic refunds.

Among the titles planned for the season include Ralph Fiennes in Beat The Devil, and Yolanda Mercy performing her one-woman play Quarter Life Crisis/

The theatre will also play host to live performances of Alan Bennett's recently recorded Talking Heads series in September and October. Eight of the actors from the series will reprise their roles at the theatre including Tamsin Greig in Nights in the Gardens of Spain, Maxine Peake in Miss Fozzard Finds Her Feet, Monica Dolan in The Shrine, Kristin Scott Thomas in The Hand of God and Imelda Staunton in A Lady Of Letters.
